We announce the death of Gleaves Adele Azar Hastings in Auburn, Alabama, born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 74. Gleaves will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Harmon Eujean Hastings; her parents, Zack Norman Azar and Gleaves Patterson Azar; her sister Beth Azar Wall; and her brother-in-law Tony.
She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Harmon Hastings (Laura) and Patrick Dean Hastings (Rachel); her granddaughters, Andrea Davis and Maggie Ernst; and her siblings, Zack Azar (Sharon), Dean Azar (Julia), Mark Azar (Barbara) and Kitty Azar Simpson (Wade). She is also survived by extended family and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church in Gleaves' memory.
