She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Chatmon and Margaret Chatmon; her brother-in-law Ezekiel Scott; and her grandson Christopher Gray. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Kelsey; her children, Xander W. Kelsey and Cydonna Gray (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Kayce Josey (Kennith), Jestin Anthony, Kenneth Gray II (Alexis) and Carmen Gray; her great grandchildren, Kenneth "Tripp" Gray, Kennith "Trent" Josey and Khristian Gray; her siblings, Eleanor C. Scott and Melvin Chatmon; her siblings-in-law, Ollie Samas (Robert) and David Mitchell; her nieces, Beryl Scott-Washington, Valerie Harris (Randy), Swantje Scott and LaSonja Scott; and her nephew Lynn Scott (Cheryl). She is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
In lieu of a funeral repast, the family will make a donation to the John B. Amos Cancer Center.
