We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2025, at the age of 86, Jacqueline Craft Edwards of Auburn, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Jacqueline may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, L. T. Craft and Mary Eunice Sego Craft; her husband Irvin Edwards; her son Wade Edwards; and her sisters, Joyce Kyser and Sue Lindsey.
She is survived by: her daughter Teleeda Edwards of Auburn; her daughter-in-law Diane Martin Edwards of Beulah; and her sister Lonnie Lucy (James) of Wetumpka. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 201 Lee Road 741, Opelika, AL 36804, or Children's of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham, AL, childrensal.org/foundation.
