He was predeceased by: his father James Washington Langston; his sister Sandra Anne Langston; and his son Darrell Wayne Langston. He is survived by: his wife Avon; his children, David James Langston (Patricia) of Notasulga, Gay Solomon (Tom) of Pine Mountain and Georgia; his grandchildren, Savannah Michelle Solomon, Sean Michael Solomon (Ashley), Jeremy Scott Adams (Alexis) and James Patrick Langston; his great grandchild Hayes Foster Solomon; and his sister C. E. Langston.
