She was predeceased by: her father Hershel Mark Merwin; her grandparents, Paul Merwin, Chester and Doris Fraley; and her uncle Mike Fraley.
She is survived by: her mother Leigh Ann Merwin; her husband James Patrick Cooper; her children, Clayton Mark and Catherine Leigh Cooper; her grandmother Gwendolyn Merwin; and her uncle Jerome Merwin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (301 S 8th St, Opelika, AL 36801). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
