He is survived by : his sister Ruth; his uncle Buddy; his aunt Isabelle; his siblings, Nancy, Chris and Johnny; his children, David Batchelor (Jennifer), Laurie Paulonis (Mike), Betsy Rush (John McLean), Kerry Weldon (Jay), Christopher Batchelor, Johnny Batchelor, Casey Batchelor, Charles Batchelor (Jennifer), Neil Batchelor and Marie Batchelor; his grandchildren, Miranda, Jaycee Batchelor, Andrew Paulonis, Madeleine, Jasper Rush, McKinley (Rebecca), Anna Grace Weldon, Travis, Nathan Batchelor, Wyatt Batchelor, Blake Batchelor, Jaylen, Carmen Batchelor, Aquila, Olivia Warner and Matthew Weldon; and also Margaret.

A wake was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Cstat John's House (80 Pecan Cir, Auburn, AL 36832). Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Auburn Church of Christ (712 S College St, Auburn, AL 36830). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Loachapoka City Cemetery.
