As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Groves Henry and Margarete Nonnenmacher Henry; his wife Ann H Henry; and his brothers, Charles Leonard Henry and George Groves Henry.

He is survived by: his children, Melanie Henry Schnadelbach (Butch), Debbie H Hicks (Chris) and John Frederick Henry, Jr.; and his grandsons, Robert James Schnadelbach, III, John Anthony Schnadelbach (Barbara) and Colin David Henry.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A graveside service was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (1000 E Samford Ave, Auburn, AL 36830).
