He is survived by: his wife Jane May Chastain; his children, Lucia Carter (Burt) and Ken Chastain (Nena); his grandchildren, Mitch Carter, Kyle Carter (Katherine), Reid Carter, Trey Carter (Olivia), Lieutenant Luke Chastain (Elisa) and Lauren; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Ebie, James, Holland Carter, Landon and Asher Rayl.
