With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sherri Whatley Daugherty in Auburn, Alabama, born in Montgomery, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Sherri may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sherri touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William K. Whatley and Willene J. Whatley. She is survived by: her husband Ryan W. Daugherty; her sons, Kyle William Daugherty (Holly Danielle Daugherty) and Cullen Whatley Daugherty; her sisters, Kimberly W. Skodack (Mark A. Skodack), Kelly W. Pettit (Kevin J. Pettit) and Paige W. Gasser (O. Hunter Gasser); and her unshakable Auburn.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
