Stephen Elliott Rutland Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Elliott Rutland of Auburn, Alabama, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Rutland and Leonora Clayton Rutland; and his stepsister Becky Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his stepmother Elizabeth Rutland; his sister Genna Mitchell (Doug); his stepsiblings, John Atkinson and Teresa Dickman (Donna); his sons, Antiown Cook (Jessica) and Anthony Cook (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Dalton Cook (Chandler), BriAnna Cook, Makayla Gardener (Andrew), Ansley Cook, Kaleb, Kade and Jaxon. He is also survived by four greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
