He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Cleveland Porter, Sr. and Madeliene Van Sandt Porter; and his sisters, Patti Porter Barlow and Judy Elizabeth Porter. He is survived by: his wife Karen Eloise Wall Porter; his sons, William Charles Porter, Jr., Christopher Steven Porter (Cynthia) and Jon Weston Porter; his grandsons, Carter Speight Porter (Jayna Storm) and Steven Marshall Porter; his brother Arthur Cleveland Porter, Jr.; his mother-in-law Veta Sobera Wall; his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Edward Wall, Jr. and Robert Scott Wall (Ada); and his nieces and nephews, Brian Earnest, Bradley Cleveland Porter, Heather Porter McCleary, Ashley Earnest Brock, Jami Barlow Sikes, Cary Frances Wall and Elizabeth Grey Wall.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (100 Church Dr, Auburn, AL 36830). A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at the Town Creek Cemetery (1150 S Gay St, Auburn, AL 36832).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Auburn or St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Selma.
