We are sad to announce that, on August 5, 2020, at the age of 72, Donald Wayne Thompson of Axis, Alabama, born in Butler, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Robin Buchanan Thompson; his daughters, Rita Sexton (John), Anna Thompson, Brandy Wiggins (Travis) and Michelle Ellison; his grandchildren, Molly Buchanan (Bobby), Chris Thompson, Jonathan Thompson (Beth), Trent Thompson (Haley), Justin Ballard (Hannah), Destinee Ballard, Alex Sutherland, Hannah Sutherland, Hunter Howard (Sabrina), Haven Howard and Ethan Turnage; his great grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Chloe, Tipperlee, Cammie, Braydon, Charlie and Bethany; his brother Johnny Thompson (Christy); his nephew Greg Thompson (Lisa); and his friends, Sandy Goodson and Kinnon Freeman. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
