He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Victor and Maggie Della Wright Howse; his son Dell Allen Howse; and his siblings, Victor (Mildred Howse), Pud (Clara Howse), Buck (Catherine Howse), Zoe (Marzell Howse), Lucille (Gretch Johnson) and Roberta (Pat Yeager).
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Driscoll Howse; his daughter Maggie Howse Thrower (Jeff); his granddaughters, Megan Smith (Wade) and Jenny Nicholason (Josh); his great grandchildren, Moses Smith and Sunni Jo Smith; and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Howse. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Holly Pond Funeral Home (161 Brooklyn Rd, Holly Pond, AL 35083). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at the New Hope #2 Baptist Church Cemetery (15 Co Rd 1698, Cullman, AL 35058).
