She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Franklin and Genevieve Blackmon Pollard; and her sister Sandra Turberville. She is survived by: her husband Donald Merritt of Bay Minette; her sons, Jesse Van Atta (Angelia) of Bay Minette and Jonathan Van Atta (Keri Lynn) of Mobile; her grandchildren, Jaden, Judah, Caleb, Harleigh, Carter and Amelia; her great grandchild Louie; and her uncle Lawrence Blackmon (Joan). She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
