He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Chastang and Ann Chastang; and his siblings, Pam Wells and Justin Chastang. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Chastang of Crossroads; his children, Jacob Chastang (Holly) of Appleton, WI, Staci Chastang of Bay Minette, Blake Elliott (Heather) of Silverhill and Carlee DiMarco (Nick) of Rabun; his siblings, Mark Chastang (Dana) of Hammond, LA and Katrina Manderson (David) of Mobile; his brother-in-law Jeff Wells of Bay Minette; and his grandchildren, Coy Elliott, Joshlynn Elliott (Mason), Heather Murchio and Liam McInnis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chastang Cemetery in White House.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation in Philadelphia, PA.
