With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Edwards of Bay Minette, Alabama, born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannie Phillipy Edwards; and his son-in-law Eric Moody. He is survived by: his children, Sonya L. Moody of Kimberly, AL and Shannon D. Steadham (Sherri) of Creola, AL; his grandchildren, Micah Steadham, Ethan Steadham, Erica Moody Wilder (Justin) and Erin Moody; and his great grandchildren, Kamden Steadham and Kalem Steadham.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Norris Funeral Home (402 E 2nd St, Bay Minette, AL 36507). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
