Roy Pearson Obituary

Mr. Roy Pearson, age 68, a native of Lenox, AL and a resident of the Phillipsville community of Bay Minette, Alabama died Friday, August 28, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Pearson was a retired heavy equipment operator for McDuffee Island Coal Company. He is survived by: His wife: Mary (Brown) Pearson; His five children: Lisa Heaton, Faye Wilson, Vickie Claridy, Rose Mary Maslonka, Leroy Pearson, His 18 grandchildren: Gary Heaton, Amy Lucas, Bradley Wilson, Caitlin Wilson, Christie Thomas, Jeromy Claridy, Jessica Claridy, Brandon Miller, Sasha Miller, Holland Hall, Kristen Maslonka, Hailey Maslonka, Sydney Maslonka, Chesney Maslonka, Anthony Barlow, Sabrina Swinney, Tasha McMillian and Darius Pearson His 12 great-grandchildren: Garrett Heaton, Cloe Heaton, Alex Lucas, Cali Thomas, Dominic Thomas, Hailey Claridy, Kayleyh Claridy, Dayton Claridy, Alexis Hall, Emily Miller, Izabelle Swinney and Jasmine McMillan His 2 brothers: Ray Pearson, Doug Smith His sister: Susie Ganey Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Fretwell Tabernacle Church with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.

Burial will follow at Perdido Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2009 at Fretwell Tabernacle Church.
