He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Cushion and Myrtle Cushion; his grandparents, Scott and Myrtle Whited; his niece Amber Jaye Haugen; his nephew Christopher Blake Smith; and his close friend Arthur Cole Lee.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila Ann Cushion; his daughters, Crystal Summerlin (Curtis) and Jessica Cushion; his grandchildren, Taylor, Kaleb, Corey and Gunner; his great grandchildren, Emersyn and Memphis; and his siblings, Dallas Cushion (Elaine) and Lydia Lyles (Kelly). He is also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
