She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Sidney Hamaker; her parents, James D. Hayes and Annie Mae Hayes (Carr); and her sister Jannie Manning. She is survived by: her children, Marc Hamaker (Jacquelyn) of Bessemer and Rebecca Whitcomb (Jeff) of Hoover; her grandchildren, Betty Faye Wilborn (Jacob), Conner, Hailey, Jace and Madilyn Hamaker; and her great grandchildren, Amzley and Dawson Wilborn.
A memorial gathering was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McCalla Memorial Funeral Home (4780 Letson Farms Pkwy, McCalla, AL 35111). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
