Constance Ruth Taranto Obituary
Constance Ruth (Connie) Hollowell Taranto, 79, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2022 in Bessemer, Alabama. She was born March 9, 1943 to Benjamin and Eileen Hollowell, Bessemer, Alabama. She graduated from Bessemer High School and worked for many years at the Salvation Army Distribution Center. She was married to Charles Richard Tararato.
Connie was gifted at writing poetry and wrote many poems that were a blessing to her family. She loved working crossword puzzles, needle work, drinking coffee, and talking with people.
She is predeceased by her husband, Charles, and her parents.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Taranto, Sumiton, Alabama two grandchildren, Cherlynn Grace Spangler,, Hoover, Alabama and Xain Jamison Alexander Taranto, Sumiton, Alabama. She is also survived by her siblings, Pat Cain, Melbourne, Florida, Hilda Cain, Pelham, Alabama, Walter Hollowell, Titusville, Florida, Eileen Libb, Owens Crossroads, Alabama, Regina Tubbs, Hoover, Alabama and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 2 p.m., with visitation at 1 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 650 Circle Heights, Bessemer, Alabama. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Connie's name to Southern Care Beacon Hospice 1280 Columbiana Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35216.
