He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse M. Meeks and Helen Altman Meeks; and his sister Kay Elgin. He is survived by: his son Zach Meeks of Houston; and his brother Jay Meeks of Fernandina Beach. He is also survived by three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
