It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane C. Higginbotham (Bessemer, Alabama), who passed away on January 19, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Milton Custred and Nellie Corn Custred; her brother William Milton Custred, Jr.; and her husband George Milton Higginbotham. She is survived by: her sister Jessie Neil Custred Prescott (Cecil); and her children, Elizabeth Higginbotham Smith (Steven), Charlotte Higginbotham Monk (Tom) and Stephen Douglas Higginbotham. She is also survived by five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
