He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bertha Pickens Lushington and Joseph Sylvester Lushington; his children, Dr. J. Alex Lushington Jr. (Donna) of Tuscaloosa and Laura Harrison (John); his grandchildren, J. Alex Lushington III of Coral Springs, FL, Martha Lushington of Washington, DC, John Morgan Harrison of Bigfork, MT and Matthew Harrison of Shelby County; his wife Gloria Lushington (Patsy); his brother Joseph S. Lushington Jr.; and his sister-in-law Blenda.
