He is survived by: his children, Kenneth "Butch" Burchfield (Julie), Pattie Wellington (Ray) and Debbie Knight (Brad); his grandchildren, Scott Burchfield, Robert Burchfield, John Wellington, Lauren Wellington, Brian Knight (Annie), Justin Knight (Kristal), Sam Johnston, Jessica Valenzuela Zamora (Daniel) and Mary Johnston; his great grandchildren, Bowen and Griffin Knight; and his friend Neva Vickers.

The family requests that memorials be made in honor of Bro Burchfield to Oak Grove First Baptist Church.
