He is survived by: his wife Mattie Long; his children, James Long (Meshelia) of Bessemer, AL, Christopher Long (Darlene) of Bessemer, AL, Lewis, III Long (Chyeryl) of Bessemer, AL, Marlon Long (Isha) of Bessemer, AL and Latonya Long (Mark) of Bessemer, AL; his sister-in-law Bobbie Jean Lacey; his siblings, Ada Cowins of St. Louis, MO, Irma Wright (Harold) of Birmingham, AL, Tondry Wright (James), Louise Alexander of Bessemer, AL, Edward Long (Sherrie) of Miami, FL, William Long (Fredericka), Herman Alexander, Jr. and Tyrone Alexander of Bessemer, AL; and his godson Andre Collier. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren.
