We announce the death of Mickey Jo Bell (Bessemer, Alabama), who passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Crotwell and Glenda Crotwell; her husband Charles Douglas Sr.; and her pet Paco. She is survived by: her children, Vicki Riley (Bill) and Charles Douglas Jr. Bell (Linda); her grandchildren, Autumn Fritsch (Andrew), Billy Riley (Caroline), Shaun Bell (Natalie), Brandon Bell (Katie) and Brian Bell (Kelley); and her great grandchildren, Wells Riley, Lincoln Bell, Story Bell, Phoebe Bell and Wyatt Bell.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brown Service Funeral Home (1300 4th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home (1300 4th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020). A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at the Valhalla Cemetery (839 Wilkes Rd, Birmingham, AL 35228).
