She was predeceased by: her mother-in-law Florence Rainey; and her grandmother Lillian LaGrone Morris. She is survived by: her husband Edward. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made in Sonya's name to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
