She was predeceased by: her husband Johnnie R. Atkinson; her daughter Dori Street; her mother Mae Golden; and her sisters, Dorenia Crim, Irene Kilpatrick and Anna Mae Vernon.
She is survived by: her children, Allen Carver and Melanie Varner. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home (1300 4th Ave N, Bessemer, AL 35020). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at the Village Falls Cemetery.
