He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Massey and Nettie Massey; his siblings, Edward, Paul, Onzell, Lodis and Doris; his son Jimmie Massey; and his grandson Terry Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Massey (Regina), Rozanne Cherry (Paul), Frankie Massey (Anita), Nesa Wade (Ronnie) and Kevin Massey (Rennee).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Birmingham Humane Society or the Make-A-Wish Foundation, honoring his compassion and generosity.
