She is survived by: her daughters, Tamara Gail (King), Smith (Calvest), Sharon and Patricia Gaye King; her grandchildren, LaShanti Genee'King and Cortney Sherrod King (Kim); her sisters, Bertha Evins, Shirley Robinson and Linda Chatman; her siblings-in-law, Mary Guinn of California, Jeanette Tooson of Alabama and Luther Evins of Alabama; her children, Marie Hughes, Rita King, Frederick King, Darrell Williams, Jerome West and Charlie Barnes; her grandchildren, Timothy McCray, Jr. (Sheena), ShuRon Green-Butler (Wadie), Tiffany Pinson (Darryl) and Arnitra Doucet (Harold); and her friend Hawe Jones. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, church members, and her daughters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Forest Park South Funeral Home (12650 Shadow Creek Pkwy, Pearland, TX 77584). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Brentwood Baptist Church (13033 Landmark, Houston, TX 77045). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
