Augustus Hogue Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Augustus Hogue (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Cleveland Hogue, Sr. and Clara Louise Breneman Hogue; his brother William Alfred Hogue (Buddy); and his daughter Evelyn Ida Mason Hogue. He is survived by: his children, William Richard (Bill), Gayle Hogue Goetcheus (late Tim), Judy Hogue Abbott (Rick) and Gerald Alan Hogue (Natalie); and his stepchildren, Charlotte Mayfield Christopher, Don Hoyt Mayfield (Phyllis) and Peggy Mayfield Wall (Billy). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lakeside Hospice in Pell City, AL or the AMD Foundation.
