She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin D. McDaniel; her parents, Floyd Johnson, Sr. and Elva Harper Johnson; and her siblings, Bernice Kuykendall, Floyd "Junie" Johnson, Jr., James Wallace Johnson and Roger Johnson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kam Wiggins (Don) and Kyla McDaniel Kortright (Ernesto); her granddaughters, Joy Hansen (Griffin), Amalia Kortright (Chris Mount) and Alexandra Kortright; and her sister Margie Johnson Jeffries.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.
