He is survived by: his family, Ambassador, Roebuck, Brown Springs and Woodlawn; his wife Jennifer Burton; his children, Rhonda Fields (Milton), Bennie Jo Burton, Jr. (DeAndrea) and Valerie McKenzie (Cory); his grandchildren, Mileana Fields, Milton Fields, Jr., Alisa Fields, Brianna Kindred, Bianca Kindred, Bailea Dent, Tyra McKenzie, Tori McKenzie, Talia McKenzie and Cory McKenzie, Jr.; his brothers, Ronald Allen Burton (Sharon) and Sidney James Doaty (Kathryn); and his siblings-in-law, Antrena Myers (Mathew), Linda Miller, Emily Johnson (late Roderick) and Jeffrey Bankhead. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Star Church (7400 London Ave, Birmingham, AL 35206). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
