He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannie; his parents, Mark H. Acton and Jonni Poole Acton; and his siblings, Mark, Ramona and Jean.
He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Turpin, Sue Eubanks and Russell; his children, David (Cindy), Jonni, Laurie and Kim (Dan); his grandchildren, Eric (Kat), Nathan, Will, Katie (Scott), Janna (Brent), Jessica (Jordan), Sarah, Anna and Ginny (John); his great grandchildren, Todd, Caitlyn, Bailey, Cody, Daniel, Cecil, Ava, Hamp, Evelyn, Sally, Rosemary, Ella, Brooklyn, Matthew, Elijah and Moriah; and his great great grandchild Wells.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request a donation to Lifeline Children's Services, in Birmingham, AL.
