He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Horton and Leo Hobson Smith of Blount County, AL; and his siblings, Inez Hendrix of Trussville, Bob Smith of Oneonta and Hobby Smith of Cleveland, AL..
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dill Smith (Pat); and his brother George H. Smith of Vestavia Hills. He is also survived by his brother and cousin.
