She was predeceased by: her husband James Vernon; her children, Terri Vernon and Gordon Vernon; her siblings, Marjorie Franklin, Jean Lee, Sue McGowin, Betty Walkey, Gloria Siatis, Barbara Bennett, Nancy Whitley and Charles Berry; and her parents, Willis Mason and Jessie Louise Berry.
She is survived by: her daughter Kristi Roan (Eddie); her grandchildren, JuliAnne Zimmermann (Colton), Natalie Roan, Melissa Reed (Jason) and Charlie Roan (Jerrica); and her brother Paul Berry (Kathy). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Billie's memory to First Baptist Church of Trussville, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
