With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bonnie D. McKee (Birmingham, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard L. Day Sr. and Bonnie Lamberth Day; her husband Evon McKee; her son Terry Jonathan McKee; her granddaughter Jennifer L. Murphree Burnett; and her brother Howard L. Day, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Janet McKee Murphree (Paul), Joy McKee Brewer (Lee) and Timothy Kirk McKee (Tammy Smith); her grandsons, Jonathan Paul Murphree (Jayna), Christopher Lee Brewer (Bethany) and Matthew Timothy Brewer (Leslie); her children, Jon-Elyn, Ava, Ruthie, Sam, Eli, Beau, Emmie, Worth, Banks and Mac; her sister Elsie Day Wilson; and her sister-in-law Martha Day. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens East (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
