With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Byron P. Sweat (Birmingham, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Byron farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Byron is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his father Luther Sweat. He is survived by: his son Austin Sweat; his mother Judy Sweat; his brother Trent Sweat (Kandy); and his nieces, Brooklyn and Preslie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Gardens East (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
He was an avid motorcyclist who will be remembered for proudly organizing many charity rides for people in need.
