He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph D. Brasfield and Jane T. Brasfield; and his sister Susan Love Batson. He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Tharpe Brasfield; his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Batson; and his nieces, Michelle B. Long (Jeremy) and Jennifer B. Sellers (Chad).
He would request that in lieu of flowers any memorials be to any of these organizations.
