He is survived by: his wife Connie; his children, Dr. John Childs of San Antonio, Texas and Julie Buford (Jonathan) of Hoover; his brother Judge Bruce Williams (Janis); his grandchildren, Emma Watkins (Connor), Mattie Buford, Lauren Childs, Mary Buford, Luke Childs, Logan Childs and Lily Childs; and his great grandchildren, Adelaide and Baker Watkins.
The family requests no flowers; memorial donations may be made to the Found Faithful Fund at Shades Crest Baptist Church, 452 Park Avenue, Hoover, Alabama.
