It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Mae Lantrip of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Ray Lantrip; her mother Lena; her grandson Shane Caldwell; her son-in-law Preston Cowden; her brother James Ray; and her siblings-in-law, Louise Ray, Mary Rose Dorough, Peggy Proctor, Roy G. Lantrip, Sr. and Bobby Lantrip.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Cowden, Tammi Cochran (Jamie), Raynette Goodman (Rocky) and William Lantrip (Jesslyn); her grandchildren, Merri Defoor, Joshua Carter, Kane Goodman, Chazz Lantrip and Jessi Johnson (Bailey); her great grandchildren, Elvis Caldwell (Savannah), Zoe Caldwell, Jordan Defoor, Victoria Defoor, Connor Carter and Kara Carter; her sister Linda Herring (Jimmy); and her sister-in-law Betty Sue Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
