As Cynthia departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Cynthia. Though Cynthia may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her brothers, Wilbert DuBose and Herman Carnes. She is survived by: her sons, Kellen and Corey Higginbotham; her granddaughter Cayleigh Higginbotham; and her brother Bernard DuBose. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greater 14th Street Baptist Church (418 14th St S, Bessemer, AL 35020). A burial was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the George Washington Carver Memorial Gardens (1020 Minor Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35244).
