With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Louis Dunn of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact David had on those he encountered along his journey. Though David may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, H. M. Dunn and Lela Rosetta Dunn. He is survived by: his wife Laurie Elmore Dunn; his sisters, Denise Jones and Delorah McDonald; his children, William McKinley Dunn (Hannah) and Elizabeth Dunn Shelton (Clark); and his grandchildren, Josephine Grace Dunn, Evelyn Rose Dunn and George Louis Dunn.
A reception was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vestavia Hills Methodist Church (2061 Kentucky Ave, Vestavia Hills, AL 35216).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that any memorial donations be made to the Jimmie Hale Mission or Vestavia Hills Methodist Church.
