He is survived by: his children, Alma, Arthur Jr., Earline, Eva, Harold, Sr., Wilbur Sr., Ruth and Earl; his sisters, Alma Ryce Taylor and Eva Lois Ryce Thomas; his children, Ronald Ryce, Gloria Ryce, Andre Ryce (Michelle), Elliott Ryce, Jr. (Margaret) and Calvin Ryce; his sister Ruth Ryce Harrison; his siblings-in-law, Eunice Barnes and Bertis Blanks, Sr.; his grandchildren, Lori Ryce-McCray, Katrisa, Katresa Larry, April Clark, Marcus Turner, Sr., Anthony Clark, Alicia Clark, Eric Brandon Fletcher, Taron Ryce, Sr. (Deanna), Brittney Ryce, Theron Benjamin Ryce, Christopher Ryce, Briann Ryce, Aaron Dean Ryce and Mariah Ryce; and his great grandchildren, Corrina Rose McCray, Olivia Reynolds, Taylor Larry, Lorin Ryce, Devin Rose, Jaxon Smith, Dennis Springer, III, Deauna Pearson, Austyn, Ayden Casey, Cordariuse Burns, Taron Ryce, Jr., Breelah Orr, Treasure Orr, Marcus Turner, Jr., Marquise Shabazz, Tylan Ryce, Bryson Orr and Monroe Ryce.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Fairfield (324 59th St, Fairfield, AL 35064). A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery (1230 Warrior Rd, Birmingham, AL 35218).
