We announce the death of Donna Hines Thompson (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 77. Donna will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Hines and Theolene Hines; and her siblings, Shearon Smith and Herbie Hines. She is survived by: her husband Richard Thompson (Dick); her son Jason Thompson; her daughter-in-law Tami Thompson; her daughter Heather Fipps; and her grandchildren, Libby Thompson, Lauren Thompson, Walker Thompson, Andrew Baynham and Jackson Baynham. She is also survived by nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
