He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Allison and Liz Melton; and his sister Faye Griffith. He is survived by: his wife Anna Gale Melton; his children, Martin Meloan, James Atlas, Andrew Banks Jr., Douglas Martin Melton (Kimberly Stewart Melton), William Martin Melton (Laurel Briley), Hope Patrice Melton Blair (David Blair) and Lauren Elizabeth; his sister Mary Ferguson (Zane); his nephews, Jeff and Mark Crowe; his brother Eugene Melton; and his children, Jamie Melton Anderson, Lorie Melton Hunt and Erick Allison Melton. He is also survived by three children, five grandchildren, a great-grandson and two siblings.
In lieu of flowers, the grandchildren are asking for donations to be made celebrating Pops and Nonna’s precious Yorkie companion Lady Bug to the Birmingham Humane Society, Care Humane Society in Auburn, Ala., or the Lake Martin Animal Rescue in Dadeville, Ala.
