With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Early Benefield (Birmingham, Alabama), who passed away on December 19, 2019 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Early Benefield to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Biggie Benefield and Robert Benefield; his brother Carl Benefield; his sisters-in-law, Martha and Faye Benefield; his grandson Josh Benefield; and his wife Lela McCoy Brewer Benefield.

He is survived by: his brother Jimmy Benefield; his sons, Larry Benefield and Ward Benefield; his stepson Mike Brewer (Phyllis); and his grandchildren, Carl Benefield, Laura Dickinson (Justin), Jonathan, Jeremy Benefield, Tiffany Wilkins (Tommy) and Trey Brewer. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind.
