She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Mosley (Davis) and Samuel L. Sr. Mosley; her husband William Spells; and her siblings, Samuel Mosley, Jr., Richard Mosley, Sr., Johnnie M. Hart, Louise Whatley and Elizabeth Burch.
She is survived by: her children, Juette Whitlow, Brenda King, Anita Cofield (Mark), Bradley King and David King. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Smith & Gaston Funeral Services (102 6th Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211). A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (600 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive S. W., Birmingham, AL 35211).
