It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edmond P. Phillips Jr. (Birmingham, Alabama), born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, who passed away on March 18, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Prince "Bud" Phillips Sr. and Olivia Prowell "Tootie" Phillips Smith; and his brother Samuel McKerall "Bo" Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Edmond Prince "Bud" Phillips, III and Mary McKerall Phillips Gardner (William Carroll Gardner); his grandsons, Jackson Gardner, Sam Gardner, Reed Gardner and Ben Gardner; and his sister Lynn Phillips Telle (Anthony Telle).

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Birmingham Humane Society in his name.
