It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Smith of Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Lamar M. C. Smith; her parents, Rush Killette and Nan Sue Harkins Killette; and her brothers, Robert Killette and Jim Killette.
She is survived by: her children, Alison Smith Hawk (Jett), Leslie Smith Anderson (Doug) of Mobile and Mabry Smith, III (Michele); her grandchildren, John Hawk, Stewart Hawk, Elaine Anderson Bradberry (Kyle), Killette Anderson, Mary Douglas Anderson, Camille Smith and Adele Smith; her great grandchildren, David Bradberry and Leslie Ann Bradberry; her niece Kathleen Killette Franklin (Bill) of Chevy Chase, Maryland; and her cousin Lynette Horton (Robert).
